Getting Ready...

Yes, there is still nine weeks to go, but it doesn't hurt to start getting ready early. All I know is I don't want to be the half of the ten virgins that wasn't prepared for the bridegroom. And we just had a friend go into labor 6 weeks early, so no sense in procrastination. This was our fun Saturday activity, and Nate didn't even have to say any bad words to make things go together right!

At first the task before us seemed a little daunting...
But Nate, being the smart man that he is, went straight to the directions without trying to figure it out himself. (Thank you!)
The point of this picture is the progressing crib, not Nate.
And here is the finished product:
Now, every time I walk by I have to let out a little squeal as I imagine our little girl sleeping soundly in this very crib, in this very room.

Proud Parents

Here is the newest edition to our family. We had a friend stop us in the parking lot in front of our apartments, and tell us all about his new baby turtles and how cool they were. Immediately, Nate turned to me and said, "You can't get one." A few days later, after Nate had been gone to get the mail for 20 minutes, all he could say was, "We have to get some turtles!" (I imagine he was stopped by our neighbor again). We got two. They are about a year old, and are only an inch and a half long. So cute! Thanks to Nate's parents, this is what he did with his birthday money.
Warning: Don't actually put in your mouth...

Here also our the fish that we had our neighbor babysit while we were in Colorado. We left with them only being a few inches long, and came back to the biggest one being about five inches!

With us being this obsessed with our fish, just imagine what we will be like when we get an actual baby!
