Yellowstone Adventure

This trip is the reason why I haven't posted a blog in so long. There was so many pictures to choose from, I didn't know where to start, and I didn't have the time to figure it out. So, after way too long, I finally decided to sit down and just get it done.

We went to Yellowstone with Ben and Kristi Parker and their little boy Logan. It was so much fun! And the babies even did pretty well sitting in the car for hours on end while we drove around and saw the sites. It was a little chilly, but that didn't stop the park from being full of people.

We decided to spice things up a bit from always driving around so we went on a hike. This is the waterfall that we hiked to. It was definitely worth all the heartache getting the babies out there, and even more heartache getting them back! And we are in the picture, the little white specs in the bottom right hand corner.

Right before we left the waterfall to go back to the cars for lunch, Kristi decided that Logan needed his diaper changed. Luckily we had a spare diaper for them, because they forgot theirs. Well, when they opened up the "present" they noticed poop all the way up Logan's back. So picture Ben and Kristi trying to clean Logan off on a little bridge while Logan is naked and screaming, people are trying to walk around them and enjoy the scenery, Kristi's laughing (as is everyone else), and Ben is....not. Logan went back to the car wearing a diaper, socks, and a hoodie. Everything else had to be put in a plastic bag. Aaah, good times. This is Mackay's snow suit. The only way we could keep her arms warm, since she refused to keep them in a blanket.
Notice how happy Mackay is in her stroller. We were surprised, too.

This is Mackay on her first rock climbing excursion.
This is Mackay showing off her butt-flap long johns. We had to bring these since we were staying in a cabin. It just seemed to fit the ambiance.
This is one of the many pretty sites we got to see. We were always tempted to touch the water to see how hot it was. Nate was brave enough once, but it was downstream a bit and wasn't that hot.
Mackay in a cute little hat that we didn't get at the gift shop.

Logan and Mackay hanging out. It's funny to see the color contrast. One is completely blue, the other completely pink.
I got more pictures of scenery and animals, but decided that what you really wanted to see were the babies. So I didn't include many of those pictures here. Though we did see a moose, two bald eagles, and lots of elk and bison. But sadly, no bears.

I loved all your pictures! The one with you holding her in front of the cabin is really sweet. More more more!

Those were fun times! We need to do another trip again, for sure. By the way,it still cracks me up how Mackay sucks on her binky upside down - what a cutie.
